Volunteering Your Time and Talents

Then you shall keep the feast of weeks to the Lord your God with the tribute of a freewill offering from your hand, which you shall give as the Lord your God blesses you. Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessings of the Lord your God which He has given you. Deuteronomy 16:10, 17 (NRS)

Consider Your Blessings

Keep in mind good stewardship of time, talent and treasure. Have you been blessed in one area more abundantly than in others?

Give as You Are Blessed

Do you feel as though you are not able to give enough money to make a difference but you are a gifted musician or teacher? So if you are a teacher, teach. If you have time, volunteer. Perhaps your job keeps you traveling and your talents are not as available to your church, but you are able to give significant financial gifts, give.

Proportionate Giving

Give in proportion to what you have received. Give proportionally and as you are blessed, you may find time, talent or resources that you did not know you had. Remember, the Lord loves a cheerful giver.
